IBPS CRP- Officers (Scale- I, II & III) and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) in RRBs

The IBPS conducts Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for the recruitment of Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). Regional Rural Banks are local level banks functional in the different States of India. They have been created with a view to serve primarily the rural areas of India with basic banking and financial services.

IBPS CRP RRBs Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

(i) A candidate must be either a citizen of India, or (ii) a subject of Nepal, or (iii) a subject of Bhutan, or a (iv) Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Note: Provided a certificate of eligibility should be issued by the Government of India in favour of the candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v).

For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager):
  • Between 21 - 40 years
For Officer Scale- II (Manager)
  • Between 21 - 32 years
For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)
  • Between 18 - 30 years
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose)
  • Between 18 - 28 years
Relaxation of Upper age limit is offered to candidates belonging to reserved categories according to rules of the Government.

Educational Qualification

Office Assistant (Multipurpose)
  1. Candidates should have successfully completed their Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.

  2. Candidate must be proficient in local language as per the requirement of participating RRBs.

  3. Candidate should desirably have the working knowledge of computer.
Officer Scale-I
(Assistant Manager)

  1. Candidates should have successfully completed their Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.

  2. Candidates having degree in Accountancy/ Economics/ Law/ Information Technology/ Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation/ Pisciculture/ Agricultural Engineering/ Veterinary Science/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Horticulture/ Agriculture will be given preference.

  3. Candidate must be proficient in local language as per the requirement of participating RRBs.

  4. Candidate should desirably have the working knowledge of computer.
Officer Scale-II
General Banking Officer (Manager)
  1. Candidates should score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.

  2. Candidates having degree in Accountancy/ Economics/ Law/ Management/ Information Technology/ Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation/ Pisciculture/ Agricultural Engineering/ Veterinary Science/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Marketing/ Finance/ Banking will be given preference.

  3. The applicant should have a two years of experience as an officer in a Bank or any Financial Institution.
Officer Scale-II  Specialist Officers (Manager)
Information Technology Officer
  1. Candidates should score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or its equivalent in the following subjects -
    - Information Technology
    - Computer Science
    - Communication
    - Electronics

  2. Desirable Experiences:
    Candidates must complete a certificate course in ASP, PHP, C , Java, VB, VC, OCP etc. Candidates should have done a one year course in any of the following fields:
    - Chartered Accountant
    - Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
    - One Year as a Chartered Accountant.
Law Officer
  1. Candidates should score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their bachelor’s Degree in law from a recognised University in Law or its equivalent.

  2. Candidates should have a two years of experience as an advocate or as a Law Officer in Banks or any Financial Institutions with minimum 2 years of experience.
Treasury Manager
  1. Candidates should have successfully completed their MBA in Finance or Chartered Accountant from a recognized university or institution.

  2. Candidate should have an experience of working as a Treasury Manager for a minimum period of one year.
Marketing Officer
  1. Candidates should have successfully completed their MBA in Marketing from a recognized university or institution.

  2. Candidate should have an experience of working as a Marketing Officer for a minimum period of one year.
Agricultural Officer
  1. Candidates should score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or its equivalent in any of the following subjects -
    - Pisciculture
    - Agricultural Engineering
    - Veterinary Science
    - Forestry
    - Animal Husbandry
    - Dairy
    - Horticulture
    - Agriculture

  2. Candidate should have a minimum two years of experience working as an Agricultural Officer.
Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager)
  1. Candidates should score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.

  2. Candidates having degree in any of the following subjects will be given preference:
    - Agriculture
    - Horticulture
    - Forestry
    - Animal Husbandry
    - Veterinary Science
    - Agricultural Engineering
    - Pisciculture
    - Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation

  3. Candidate should have a minimum 5 years of work experience in the related field.

Note: There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answers. However, no marks will be deducted if a question is left blank.

Interview - applicable only for post of Officers (Scale I, II and III)

Candidates shortlisted in the main examination will be called for an interview for the post of Officers Scale I and in the single level examination for the post of Officers Scale II and III.

Interviews will be conducted at select centres and will be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank with the help of NABARD and IBPS.  The candidates will be informed about the centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview in the call letter. No call letters will be send personally to the candidates.

IBPS CRP RRBs Pre-Examination Training (PET)

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Minority Communities/ Ex-Servicemen/ Persons with Benchmark Disabilities for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Minority Communities candidates for the Post of Officer Scale-I will be eligible for a Pre-Examination Training arranged by the Regional Rural Banks at the following centers viz.
