IBPS Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee (CWE PO/MT) Recruitment

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection commonly known as IBPS conducts the selection process for recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) with different nationalized banks. This examination is gateway to the much sought after bank jobs. IBPS invites applications form eligible candidates for recruitment of  Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee (CWE PO/MT) posts in the Participating Organizations.

IBPS CWE PO/MT Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

A candidate must be either:
  • an Indian citizen of India, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • a subject of Bhutan, or
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India,
    or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided a certificate of eligibility should be issued by the Government of India in favour of the that a candidate belonging to the appropriate category.

Age Limit:

The age of the candidate must be between 20 to 30 years. Relaxation of Upper age limit is available for candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC/ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen etc. according to the rules of Government notified time to time.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in any discipline or other equivalent examination from a recognized University/institutions.

Seat Reservations for Persons with Disability (PWD)

As per section 34 of “Rights of Persons With Disabilities Act, 2016”, persons with benchmark disabilities are eligible for Reservation. The reserved categories of disabilities mentioned under this Act are namely:

a. Blindness and low vision;
b. deaf and hard of hearing;
c. locomotor disability including cerebral palsy. leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy;
d. autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness;

Negative Marking: One fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question is deducted for each incorrect answers (applicable for both preliminary and mains examination). However, no marks will be deducted for unattempt answers.

Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Main examination for CWE PO/MT will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter.

The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of CWE (Main exam) and interview will be 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination of CWE PO/MT and Interview.

IBPS CWE PO/MT Application Fees

  • SC/ST/PWD Candidates: Rs. 100/-
  • All Other Candidates: - Rs. 600 /- for all others
Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate
