Reservation: RDBS Recruitment of Assistant Manager Grade A

Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) shall be applied @4% of total vacancies

Reservation - PWD
a. Blindness & Low Vision: 1%
b. Deaf & Hard of Hearing: 1%
c. Locomotor Disability which includes muscular dystrophy, acid attack victims, dwarfism, leprosy cured and cerebral palsy: 1%
d. Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under category (a) to (c) including deaf-blindness in the posts identified for each disability: 1%

P.S.: Out of the total of 92 vacancies of Asst. Manager (RDBS), 4 seats are reserved for Persons With Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD), and out of which 1 each is earmarked for benchmark disabilities given at a, b, & c and 1 vacancy for disabilities given at d. All the 4 PWBD vacancies are in General discipline.

(i) The PWD category candidates are only required to pay the intimation charges. They are exempted from the payment of application fees.

(ii) The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category will be provided reservation as per the Government of India norms.

(iii) OBC category candidates who come in the ‘Creamy Layer’ are not entitled to OBC reservation. They will only come under the General’ (Gen) category.

Educational Qualification

General:

Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% (SC/ST/PWBD applicants 45%) marks.
Or
Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (SC/ST/PWBD applicants 45%) marks in their post-graduation.
Or
Candidates should have done their Ph.D OR Chartered Accountant /Cost Accountant /Company Secretary with a Bachelor's degree or Two years full time P.G. Diploma in Management / full time MBA degree from Institutions/Universities recognized by the Govt. Of India/ UGC with Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.

Animal Husbandry:

Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in Veterinary Sciences/Animal Husbandry with a minimum of 50% (SC applicants 45%) marks.
Or
Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (SC applicants 45%) marks in their post-graduation in Veterinary Sciences / Animal Husbandry from any recognized University / Institute.

Chartered Accountant:

Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution with a Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Economics:

Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in Economics/Agriculture Economics with a minimum of 50% (ST applicants -45%) marks.
Or
Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (ST applicants -45%) marks in their post-graduation in Economics /Agriculture Economics from any recognized University / Institute.

P.S: Candidates who have studied Economics as one of the main subjects at all years/semesters of the course, are only eligible to apply.

Environmental Engineering:

Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering / Climate Change / Climate Change Adaptation with a minimum of 50% marks.
Or
Candidates should score a minimum of 50% marks in their post-graduation in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering / Climate Change / Climate Change Adaptation from any recognized University / Institute.

Food Processing/Food Technology:

Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in Food Processing /Food Technology with a minimum of 50% (ST applicants 45%) marks.
Or
Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (ST applicants 45%) marks in their post-graduation in Food Processing /Food Technology from a recognized University/Institution.

Forestry:

Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in Forestry with a minimum of 50% (SC applicants 45%) marks.
Or
Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (SC applicants 45%) marks in their post-graduation in Forestry from a recognized University/Institution.

Land Development (Soil Science) / Agriculture:

Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in in Agriculture / Agriculture (Soil Science/Agronomy) with a minimum of 50% (SC/ST/ applicants 45%) marks.
Or
Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (SC/ST applicants 45%) marks in their post-graduation in Agriculture / Agriculture (Soil Science/Agronomy) from a recognized University/Institution.

Minor Irrigation (Water Resources):

Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in Hydrology/Applied Hydrology or Geology/Applied Geology with Hydrogeology /Irrigation /Water Supply & sanitation as one of the subjects with a minimum of 50% (SC/ST/ applicants 45%) marks.
Or
Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (SC/ST applicants 45%) marks in their post-graduation in Hydrology/Applied Hydrology or Geology/Applied Geology with Hydrogeology /Irrigation /Water Supply & sanitation as one of the subjects from a recognized University/Institution.

Social Work:

Candidates should have successfully completed their graduation in Social Work with a minimum of 50% (SC applicants 45%) marks.
Or
Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (SC/ST applicants 45%) marks in their post-graduation in Social Work from a recognized University/Institution.

P.S: Some Universities/Institutes do not award percentage or class of marks and rather allot Grade Points (e.g. CGPA/OGPA/CPI, etc.). In case University/Institute defines criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the same will be accepted.

However, where the University/Institute does not define criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the undefined parameter(s) would be worked out as under:

Equivalent CGPA/ OGPA/ CPI or similar terminologies allotted on a 10-point scale

**Aggregate Grade Point or percentage of marks where ever awarded would mean aggregate over the entire duration of the course and covering all subjects.

Age Limit
The age of the candidate should be between 21 to 30 years of age.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit: Upper age limit may be relaxed by -
a. OBC applicants: 03 years

b. Relaxation of maximum 5 years in case of:
(i) SC/ST candidates
(ii) Candidates who are Ex-servicemen (including Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers) provided that they have rendered at least five years continuously as Military Service and have been released on completion of assignment.
(iii) Short Service Commissioned Officers/ Emergency Commissioned Officers who have completed their initial period of assignment of five years of Military Service
(iv) Candidates who have ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989
(v) Candidates who the family members or children of victims died in the1984 riots.

Selection Process: RDBS Recruitment of Assistant Manager Grade A

A. The selection will be in three Phases as furnished below:

Phase I – Preliminary Examination (Online Exam)

Question Type: Objective Type MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions)
i) Test of Reasoning – - 20 questions - 20 marks
ii) English Language – - 40 questions - 40 marks
iii) Computer Knowledge – 20 questions - 20 marks
iv) General Awareness – 20 questions - 20 marks
v) Quantitative Aptitude – 20 questions - 20 marks
vi) Economic & Social Issues (with focus on Rural India) – 40 questions - 40 marks
vii) Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on Rural India) - 40 questions- 40 marks
Total Marks: 200
Duration: 120 Minutes

Phase II – Main Examination (Online Exam)

Question Type: Mix of MCQ and Descriptive pattern.
Paper-I - General English: (Only Descriptive Type)
The candidate's analytical and drafting abilities shall be assessed through the Descriptive Paper on General English comprising of letter writing, paragraph writing, report writing, comprehension and essay writing.

Total Marks: 100 marks.
Duration: 1 ½ hrs
 
Paper–II (MCQ)
i) For posts – General, Chartered Accountant, Economics, Environmental Engineering, Food Processing / Food Technology, Forestry, Land Development (Soil Science) / Agriculture, Social Work: - Economic & Social Issues and Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on rural India)

ii) For posts Animal Husbandry and Minor Irrigation (Water Resources): Paper on related discipline
Duration: 1 ½ hrs
Total Marks: 100

P.S. For Phase I and II, There will be negative marking for wrong answers.1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted for each incorrect answers.

Phase III – Interview

Candidates who qualify in the Phase-II Examination securing sufficiently high rank in merit shall be short-listed for the interview.
Marks for Interview: 25 Marks

P.S.:
A
) The Prelims Examination is only qualifying in nature and it serves only as a screening test. Those candidates who secures high marks in both, individual tests & in aggregate, will be shortlisted for the Main Examination in the calling ratio of maximum 1:25 based on the cut off arrived on performance of the candidates in the exam.

Similarly, only such candidates who secures the cut off marks or above in the Main Examination will be shortlisted for the interview. The calling ratio for Interview shall be a maximum of 1:5. The Phase I and Phase II Cut-offs may be applied in two stages:

(i) On scores in individual tests,
(ii) On Total Score.

Since the vacancies are earmarked discipline-wise, merit list of candidates for each stage will be prepared discipline-wise.

B) The final selection of the candidates for the post of Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (RDBS) will be based upon their performance in the Phase-II Main Examination and Interview, taken together. In case of candidates securing same marks their ranking will be decided as under:

I. Candidates who score equal marks in total (Main examination interview taken together), the one with higher marks in Main Examination will be ranked higher.

II. If in case the candidates secure equal marks even in the Main Examination, one with higher qualification or in case of similar qualification, candidate with higher marks in graduation will be ranked higher. In case of further tie-up, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.

**For shortlisting from Prelims to Mains and Mains to Interview, all candidates with tied marks will be shortlisted.
