Should I opt for subjects in which I have scored better or should I go for the subject I love?

Getting a stream of your choice in subjects where you have scored well is easy. But then if you do not have much interest in that subject you might not do well in college and eventually lose out on a dream career. Having a love for the subject is extremely important as that will help you to accept challenges.

I have scored less in my Class 12 and I cannot pursue science further? What should I do?

Past is past. Simply leave your past and move ahead. There are options galore in humanities and commerce stream as well. Life doesn’t end with cores of Class 12.

Are online courses effective and valued?

Yes, online courses are good and adds value to your resume. But you should be careful that these courses are certified and are accepted everywhere. 

I have studied Commerce in Class 12. Can I switch streams? 

Yes you can switch streams but you cannot opt for science courses. But you can study subjects like Sociology, Psychology, English, Public Relations etc.

Is it important to give entrance exams for admission to colleges?

Yes and No. Some colleges hold entrance exams for admission to subjects like English and Mass Communication, BBA etc. However, some colleges take admission purely on the basis of marks.

Should I opt for a good and reputed college or should I give priority to my subject?

Though studying at a reputed college is definitely good, but your subject should be your priority as that is what will help you in your career.

I love languages and I want to pursue a career in a foreign language. What is the scope?

A foreign language expert is much in demand everywhere. With the tourism and hospitality industry at its peak, a foreign language expert can not only be a translator but can also devise online content. BPOs and medical transcription companies also require people with foreign language skills.

What can I do after BBA?

After BBA you can pursue a course in MBA with specialisation in marketing, finance, retail or IT. Though many prefer to work after BBA, but studying MBA would be a better idea.

I am science background student. Can I pursue English honors?

Yes, you can pursue English honors even if you have done your class 12 in science stream.

I have done my class 12 in science stream but chose English Hons. After having completed my bachelors degree, I am confused. What should I pursue further? Will an MBA be a good option for me?

MBA is not a good choice after you have done English hons. There are other good options such as post graduation in law degree, journalism,library science, psychology, political science, civil service exam or BEd.
