Indian Army 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES) Course Recruitment

Your dream to start a career as an Indian Army officer is not out of reach anymore. You can join army under 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES) Course Recruitment. The cadets will be granted Permanent Commission (PC) in the Army in the rank of Lieutenant, on the successful completion of the 4 years course.

Duration of Training:
a. Basic Military Training: 1 year at Officer Training Academy (OTA) Gaya
b. Technical Training:
Phase-I (Pre-Commission Training)- 03 Years at CME Pune/MCTE Mhow/MCEME Secunderabad
Phase-II (Post-Commission Training)- 01 Year Post commission training at CME Pune/MCTE Mhow/MCEME Secunderabad.

10+2 TES Course Stipend / Pay & Allowances

A stipend of Rs.56100/- p.m. is admissible to NDA cadets on completion of 3 years training. On completion of 4 Years training they will be entitled to pay as admissible for a Lt. Army officer.

10+2 TES Course Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:
(i)  A candidate must either be:
a. an Indian citizen,
or
b. a subject of Nepal,
or
c. a subject of Bhutan,
or
d. a Tibetan refugee who has come to India, before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling down in India,
or
e. an Indian origin person who has migrated from Vietnam, Ethiopia, Zaire, Malawi, Zambia, the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, East African Countries of Kenya, Sri Lanka, Burma and Pakistan with the intention of permanently settling down in India.
f. The Government of India should issue a certificate in favor of the candidate belonging to the categories (b), (c), (d) and (e)
The same should be submitted before the SSB result/joining training.

Age Limit:
The age of the candidate should be between 16½ - 19½ years on the first day of the month in which the course is commencing i.e.. They should not be born between 1st Jan 2000 and not after 1st Jan 2003.

Note: The office only accepts the date of birth that is entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving certificate or any other equivalent certificates recognized by an Indian University. Once the date of birth is entered by a candidate, no change of date will be allowed under any circumstances.

Marital Status: Unmarried

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have successfully completed their 10 plus 2 or other equivalent examination from a recognised education board or institute. They must score a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Medical Examination:
a. Candidates must be mentally and physically free from any kind of disease or disabilities which would interfere with the performance efficiency.
b.No evidence of weakness, underweight and bodily defects.
c.The minimum height of the candidates should be 157.5 cms . However, there is a relaxation of 5 cms for Gorkhas and candidates belonging to Kumaon, Garhwal and the hills of North Eastern regions of India. For candidates belonging to Lakshadweep, the relaxation of height is 2cms.

P.S.: Candidates should not be debarred from appearing in any exam conducted by UPSC.
Candidates should not be involved in any court case or convicted by any criminal court.

10+2 TES Course Selection Process

(i) Candidates will be shortlisted based on the cut% applied as decided by the Rtg Dte.

(ii) The candidates will be informed regarding their Selection Centre allotment via e-mail/sms.

(iii) After the Selection Centre are allotted, the SSB dates will be selected by the candidates on first cum first service basis by logging on to respective Selection Centre links forwarded via e-mail.

(iv) The Short listed candidates will further be selected for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview to be held at Allahabad/ Bangalore/ Bhopal. The interviews will be held in the month of August/September.

(v) The candidates will be put through Psychological Test, Group Test and an Interview during the 5 days of SSB interviews.

(vi) The stage – I of the selection procedure is the Psychological Test which also includes the intelligence test. Candidates who successfully qualifies stage – I are retained for the Group Test and further for the Interview, whereas the unsuccessful candidates will have to leave the interview venue.

(vii) The successful candidates are required to undergo medical test lasting for 3 to 5 days, excluding Sundays and gazette holidays.

(viii) The final selection of the candidates are made after being declared medically fit.

(ix) Depending on the number of vacancies available, candidates are appointed for training in the order of merit.

(ix) The finally selected candidates will execute all the Bonds/Certificates as prescribed for the Cadets of NDA entry under Al 53/78.

Note: Candidates who are appearing for SSB interview for the first time for a particular type of commission will be entitled for AC III tier to and fro railway fare or bus fare including reservation cum sleeper charges within the Indian limits. Candidates who apply again for the same type of commission will not be entitled to travelling allowance on any subsequent occasion.
