Indian Coast Guard (ICG)

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) was established on 18 August 1978. Its independent Armed Forces of India and works in close cooperation with the Indian Navy, the Department of Fisheries, the Department of Revenue (Customs) and the Central and State police forces. The agency comes under the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Government of India. The Coast Guard Act 1978 entitles responsibility to protect Indian Maritime interests on the Indian Coast Guard.
The Indian Coast Guard is an equal opportunity employer. Both Men and Women who fulfills the eligibility criteria are eligible to join. Currently, this agency has 15,714 active personnel, 175 vessels and 44 aircraft. Its headquarter is based in New Delhi.
