Let’s have a a look inside

Some 8 km west of Dehradun on National Highway 72 in the foothills of Himalayas is standing tall a witness of History, a pride for today and an inspiration for tomorrow called IMA Dehradun. The entire campus is spread over 206 acres of land area.
The cadets trained from National Defence Academy (NDA) Khadakwasla who chose to join Indian Army are transferred here to receive 1 year of rigorous training. However, cadets who come through Combined Defence Services Examination receives 18 months training here. After completion of course training permanent commission is offered.
The campus of IMA has a magnificent museum. Artifacts displayed here says a lot about Indian Army, the IMA and the History of India. Among everything, any Indian would love see, blink and smile on the pistol of Lieutenant General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi of the Pakistan Army surrendered to Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Aurora after signing the Instrument of Surrender to end the Bangladesh War of 1971.
