Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala

The Indian Naval Academy (INA) is training college of Indian Navy situated at Ezhimala, in Kannur District of Kerala State in India. It has the honor of largest naval academy in Asia. The campus of INA is spread over 2452 acres of land area. Located between Kavvyi waters and Ezhimala hills it has 7 km beach front on the Arabian Sea. The academy also provides training to Indian Coast Guard.
Earlier the Naval Academy (NAVAC) was established in May 1969 at Mandovi in Goa. Later, on 8 January 2009, the Ezhimala campus was inaugurated and academy got it new name as Indian Naval Academy. The courses offered by INA are affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi.
