Delhi Government Fellowship for Street Performance

The Department of Language & Culture, Government of Delhi invites applications from competent Theatre Artists for the award of Delhi Government Scholarship/ Fellowship for Street Performance. Under the scheme artists will be awarded fellowship as encouragement to perform on streets on matters related social issues. The eligible artists will be grouped to do theatre arts at various locations.

How Delhi Government Fellowship for Street Performance will be awarded?

Based on competencies of Theater Artists a total 1000 artists will be shortlisted. Further these fellows will be divided in a Group of 10 each. Thus total 100 groups will be made to perform on social causes, issues and problems.

What Delhi Government Fellows for Street Performance will receive?

As award of scholarship / fellowship Rs. 5000/- per month will be given to individual artist. In addition Rs. 4000 per show will be given to group leaders of each group for transportation and small meals etc.

What is the duration for Delhi Government Fellowship for Street Performance?

The tenure of fellowship shall run through 12 months.

Who is eligible to apply for Delhi Government Fellowship for Street Performance?

The promising theater artists whose age falls between 18 to 40 years and residents of Delhi with previous experience in acting, direction, script-writing, dance and music etc are eligible to apply. The minimum educational qualification is a Pass in Class 10. However, qualification in a related field is a plus but not compulsory.

What are the selection measures for Delhi Government Fellowship for Street Performance?

Applicants will be called for Interview for the final selection of Delhi Government Fellowship for Street Performance.
