FDDI AIST: FDDI All India Selection Test

The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) conducts All India Selection Test (AIST) for the selection of eligible candidates to pursue various professional programmes in Footwear, Retail, Design and Leather Accessory Design offered by the institute. Candidates can secure admission in master’s degree programmes, bachelor’s degree programmes as well as integrated programmes at FDDI.

FDDI AIST Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Eligibility for Bachelor Degree (B.Des) programmes:
  • Candidates should have successfully completed their 10+2 / Intermediate from a recognized board or institute. Those candidates appearing for their 10+2 or other equivalent examination are also eligible to apply.
Eligibility for Master Degree programmes:
  • M. Des. (Footwear Design & Production): Candidate should have successfully completed their Graduation in Footwear / LGAD / Design / Engineering / Production / Technology or any other equivalent programme from a recognized university or institute.

  • M.Des (CAD: Candidate should have successfully completed their Graduation in Footwear / LGAD / Design / Engineering / Production / Technology/Fine arts or any other equivalent programme from a recognized university or institute.

  • M.B.A (Retail & Fashion Merchandise): Candidate should have successfully completed their Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or institute.
P.S. Those candidates appearing for their 10+2 or other equivalent examination are also eligible to apply for all Master Degree programmes.

Age Limit

  • For Bachelor Degree programmes: The candidate must be at least 25 years.
  • For Master Degree programmes: There is no age limit as such for candidates applying for master’s courses.

Communication Standards

  • Candidates should possess good communication skills in English.
  • They should have good command in both written and spoken English language.

FDDI AIST Exam Pattern

  • The candidates will be examined on the basis of a 200 marks Online Test. The details of exam pattern is shown below for both master and bachelor degree programmes.

FDDI AIST Admission Process

The admission to FDDI will be made strictly on the basis of merit. The candidates will be allotted their campus and programmes on the basis of their rank and preference. The candidates shall be called for the counseling as per his/her rank.

FDDI AIST Sponsorship Criteria

  1. 7.5% seats out of the total capacity of any batch are reserved in each programme for Industry-Sponsored candidates.
  2. 7.5% seats for NRI Candidates if they meet the required eligibility criteria.
  3. The selection of sponsored candidates will be on the basis of an interview
  4. The NRI candidates shall be selected on basis of valid SAT/GMAT scores & personal Interview
P.S.: NRI/ Industry sponsored candidates are required to pay twice the normal fee in case of Noida campus and 50% extra fee for other campuses in addition to the normal fee.

FDDI would allot exam centre to the candidates as per availability. No request for change of date and exam centre shall be entertained under any circumstances.
