The National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur is institution of national importance declared by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The college offers Under Graduate (UG) program leading to award of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) Fire Engineering. Now there is no separate written test for BE Fire Engineering admission. Starting 2015 NFSC Nagpur accepts JEE Main score as standard for BE Fire Engg. Admission. The course duration is 3 and 1/2 years. The degree is awarded by RTM Nagpur University. The candidate desirous of applying for B.E. (Fire Engineering) course for the academic year become eligible by possessing all the three qualification mentioned below.

Educational Qualification NFSC Nagpur BE Fire Engineering Course

Candidate should be Indian National and should have passed the (std.XII) examination of any State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject and Secured minimum 45% marks (minimum 40% marks, in case of SC/ST/OBC categories) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject added together and Obtained All India Rank in JEE (Main) (paper 1).

Note :- a. The eligibility of the candidates who are Indian National, passing the HSC (std. XII) or equivalent examination from a School/College/Examination Board situated outside India shall be further decided by the RTM Nagpur University Authorities. Hence such candidates are advise to get their eligibility verified by the University Authorities before seeking admission to the B E (Fire Engineering) course.
b. The candidate belonging to this type is however required to appear for the JEE Main (Paper 1)

Physical Standard NFSC Nagpur BE Fire Engineering Course

(a) FOR MALE :-
MINIMUM Height : 165 cms.(Relaxable by 5 cms in the case of Garhwalls,
Assamese Gorkha and member of the Schedule Tribes.)
Chest : 81 cms. Unexpanded and 86 cms. Expanded ( Fully expanded with minimum of 5 cms Expansion)
Weight : min. 50 kgs.

(b) FOR FEMALE
Minimum Height : 157 .(Relaxable by 2.5 cms in the case of Garhwalls,
Assamese Gorkha and member of the Schedule Tribes.)
Weight : min. 46 kgs.

Medical Standard NFSC Nagpur BE Fire Engineering Course

Both for Male and Female
a) Visual : Better eye – 6/6 without aid (Eligible vision – 6/6 only) Worse eye – 6/12
b) Colour Vision :- no colour blindness.
c) The candidate must not have knock-knee, flat foot, squint eyes and stammering. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect.
