AIBE: All India Bar Examination
All India Bar Examination (AIBE) examines an advocate’s capability to practise the profession of law. Candidates who successfully pass the examination are awarded Certificate of Practice. The All India Bar Examination is held in September. The examination tests a candidate’s analytical and reasoning skills. AIBE conducts the examination across 40 centres in India. Advocates who are enrolled in state bar council appear for AIBE.

How to Apply for AIBE
Candidates can apply online in official website allindiabarexamination.com. Enter your (candidate’s) name, gender, date of birth, address, education qualification. Application fee is done through bank challan. Once the challan is done you can complete the form submission.
AIBE Syllabus
The test is in MCQ pattern held in 11 different languages. The test consists of 100 marks and the distribution of marks per topic is as follows:
- Limitation Act - 2 marks
- Corporate Social Responsibility – 2 marks
- Family Law – 2 marks
- Jurisprudence – 3 marks
- Administration Law – 3 marks
- Professional Ethics& Cases of Professional misconduct under B.C.I rules – 4 marks
- ADR Arbitration Act – 4 marks
- Company Law (2013) – 4 marks
- Constitutional Law – 5 marks
- Environmental Law – 5 marks
- C.P.C – 5 marks
- Public International Law – 5 marks
- Cyber Law – 5 marks
- I.P.C – 6 marks
- Labour Industrial Law – 6 marks
- Law of Tort, including Motor Vehicle Accidents and Consumer Protection Law – 6 marks
- Evidence – 8 marks
- Cr. P.C – 10 marks
- Law of Contract, Specific Relief, Prop Laws, Spl Contract N.I Act – 15 marks
Application for Certificate of Practice
The certificate of practice will be issued by the Bar Council within 30 days after the declaration of results.
