AILET: All India Law Entrance Test for NLU Delhi Admission
The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted in May by National Law University Delhi (NLU-D) for admission to 5 year BA LLB, 1 year LLM and PhD programmes. There are 80 seats in BALLB of which 10 seats are available to foreign national through direct admission; 40 seats in LLM of which 5 seats are available through direct admission to foreign nationals. No. of seats in PhD program are 5 only.

AILET Admission Process
Based on performance in AILET the National Law University Delhi shall prepared merit list of qualified candidates. Selected candidates shall be called for counselling. However, final offer of admission shall be subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria and merit rank in the AILET Entrance Examination.
AILET Eligibility Criteria
For BA LLB (Hons): Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks.
For LLM: Pass in LLB program with minimum 55% marks. Relaxation of 5% in minimum marks is available to SC / ST and Physically Challenged candidates.
For PhD: Pass in LLM program with minimum 55% marks. Relaxation of 5% in minimum marks is available to SC / ST and Physically Challenged candidates.
AILET Application Form and Procedure

AILET Admit Card
AILET admit for admission to law programs of NLU Delhi shall be available to download from April.
AILET Test Centres
The National Law University Delhi (NLU-D) shall administer AILET across following cities:
Amritsar, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Cuttack, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Varanasi
AILET Syllabus
AILET for BA LLB Hons. Exam paper will be comprising questions covering various sections including English, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics.
There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
AILET for LLM Program: Questions will be asked from LLB Course. Also there is negative marking of -0.25 marks for wrongly marked answers.
AILET for Ph.D program: Questions will be asked based on learning from LLB and LLM courses. Also there is negative marking of -0.25 marks for wrongly marked answers. Candidates with qualification in UGC NET/JRF, SLET, and M. Phil. Are exempted from written test.
AILET Result
The result of AILET will be declared in the first / second week of June.
AILET Merit List
National Law University Delhi will also be issuing a merit list of AILET along with the results. You will be able to download AILET Rank List in pdf format.
AILET Counselling and Procedure
NLU-D will be conducting the counselling process for admissions to the undergraduate law programmes for the current open academic session. AILET 2Counselling will be scheduled from the first week of June. As per the counselling process of AILET, the candidates who will be qualifying as per the merit list will need to remit an admission fee within the stipulated time, failing which their admission shall stand rejected.Contact Details
