The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) started its liberal arts undergraduate program leading to award of BA degree from its Guwahati, Hyderabad and Tuljapur campuses in 2012. The focused on the humanistic aspects of Social Sciences with strong foundation in socio-cultural, economic, political, historical, environmental theories with the aim of instilling rigorous critical thought.
Starting year 2022, the TISS Guwahati and TISS Tuljapur Off campuses are offering 4 years undergraduate programmes in compliance with New Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The candidates interested to pursue BA program from a TISS campus shall require to apply for Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The test is administered by National Testing Agency (NTA).
TISS BA Program Eligibility Criteria
Students should have successfully completed their class 12 or Intermediate in any subject stream from a Recognised Board. Candidates who have studied International Baccalaureate Diploma and will be completing 12th class with clear results declared by June are also eligible to apply. Candidates who have appeared for their class 12 or Intermediate final exams and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply. If selected, final pass result should be produced at the time of joining the programme. Candidate should at least be 23 years or less at the time of appearing for the Bachelors Admission . Applications from candidates over this age will not be entertained.
