BSF Polytechnic New Delhi Engineering Diploma Admission

The BSF Polytechnic New Delhi offers Diploma in Engineering Program for the education of wards of BSF Personnel (in-service, retired and deceased). Following courses are offered.

Diploma in Computer & Engineering
Diploma in Electronics & Comm. Engineering

No. of seats in each course are 60.

Seat Reservation

15% and 7% seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates respectively in all Diploma courses.
One seat each is reserved for the wards of BSF widows in each courses.
If the reserved seats are not filled up under a particular category then the same may be filled up out of general category of BSF Wards.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should be wards of serving/deceased /retired BSF personnel & ward of BSF Fund Employees.
Candidates should have passed Class X or 10+2 pattern or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 41% or equivalent grade(c2) in Science and Maths but not less than 33% or equivalent grade in each subject i.e Science & Maths in one sitting.
if a candidate who is XII(12th) passed and doesn't fulfill minimum mark eligibility criteria based on X (10th) class ,he may be considered for admission on the bases of marks obtained by him in XII class provided he has secured min.41% or c2 grade in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Math) in 12th class.
Candidates should be between the age of 15 years and 21 years. Upper age limit in respect of SC and ST candidates is relaxed able by 5 years.
Candidates belonging to SC and ST category to have obtained minimum pass percentage in science and maths can apply for admission in diploma course.

Process of Merit List Preparation

Admission to both the courses will be purely on merit base on the mark obtained in class 10th of 10+2 grading system or equivalent examination.
a) if seats in SC/ST quota remain vacant due to non availability of candidates in particular category, then its may be interchanged from SC to ST and vice -versa and then by wards of widows if seats still remain vacant.
b) if the sufficient numbers of eligible application from different reserved category are not received then these seats would be filled up from the general candidate.
