GATE score for writing job application to PSUs and Group A level posts in Central Government

GATE, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is benchmark for writing Post Graduate Admission Application to IISc, IITs, NITs and many other prominent institutes of higher technical education in India. GATE is eligibility qualification for MHRD Scholarships and ICCR Scholarships to foreign nationals willing to pursue masters and PhD like qualification in India.

The PSUs also requires GATE Score when you apply for job. Though many PSUs may conduct written test, interview and Group Discussion or Viva-Voce etc for final selection. Here is list of PSUs those demanded GATE score with job application

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCI).

Direct recruitment to Group A level posts in Central government, i.e., Senior Field Officer (Tele), Senior Research Officer (Crypto) and Senior Research Officer (S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India, is now being carried out on the basis of GATE score. The details of the scheme of recruitment are normally published in National Newspapers/Employment News/Rozgar Samachar.

In days to come many more companies will be willing to accept job application on the basis of GATE Score.
