The war heroes of waters need continuous functioning of everything withing the system powered by electricity. A very large size power distribution network need to be handled using advanced computer based power management system. The Electrical Officers are responsible to manage and maintain power distribution network, combat readiness of sophisticated Missile Systems, underwater systems, long range sensors and advanced combat management system which employ niche technologies and complex software algorithms.

As an Electrical Officer, you will have the singular responsibility of maintaining the combat readiness of sophisticated Missile Systems, underwater systems, long range sensors and advanced combat management system which employ niche technologies and complex software algorithms. You will be also responsible for running large power distribution networks using advanced computer-based power management systems. Electrical Officers work with work Marine Electrical equipment onboard ships/submarines/aircrafts, repair yards and maintenance ships.

To fill the posts of Electrical Officers, the Indian Navy recruits eligible engineers to whom chaleges thrills. Selected candidates are appointed as Sub Lieutenant and receive training of Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala as well as other Naval Training Establishment /Units/Ships. Eligible Officers also given an opportunity to receive Post Graduate training from best engineering institutes in India like IITs and NITs etc.

The candidates who possess 60% marks in BE/B Tech Degree from recognized university in one of the following streams:-

Electrical Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Tele Communication Engineering
Any other allied discipline
