Indian Navy: Submarine Technical Officer / Submarine Electrical Officer

The Indian Navy appoints Submarine Electrical Officers. There prime job is to manage and maintain high end control and weapon systems. Some of the advantages of this job position are station stability, higher allowances, benefits for depends and social prestige. The officers also get chance to pursue higher studies from top academic institutions like IITs.
The submarine technical officers are appointed as Sub Lieutenant. They go for 22 weeks Naval orientation course at the Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala as well as professional training in other Naval Training Establishments/ships. On successful completion of training candidates are required to pass Submarine Qualifying Board.

Eligibility Criteria Submarine Technical Officer / Submarine Electrical Officer

Submarine Technical Officers are appointed under two cadre
Submarine Electrical Officer: You need at least 55% marks in BE/B Tech Degree in any one of the following streams: Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/Control/Power Engg/Power Electronics/Instrumentation/Electronics & Communication
Submarine Engineer Officer: You need at least 55% marks in BE/B Tech Degree in any one of the following streams: Mechanical/Marine/Automotive/Mectronics/Industrial & Production/Metallurgy/Aeronautical/Aerospace/BSMarine.Engg/Instrumentation/Instrumentation and control/ Automation & Robotics/Industrial Engg and Management and Production Engg
