The Indian Navy recruits MR (Musicians) who are an integral part of the Indian Navy. From ceremonial parades to other official function, the musicians play a vital role in the organization. MR (Musicians) in Indian Navy Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Indian

Age: 17-25 years as on the day of enrollment

Qualification:
  1. Candidate should have successfully completed their Class X (Matriculation Examination)
  2. They must possess a proficiency in Western notation, aural aptitude and should have basic knowledge in theory of Music.
  3. They must have actual practical skill on any Western classical or Wind/Percussion Instrument.

MR (Musicians) in Indian Navy Training & Advancement

Candidates are required to undergo 14 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka. They should also be enrolled for a professional training at INS Kunjali.

MR (Musicians) in Indian Navy Education Opportunities

The MR (Musicians) in Indian Navy are eligible to pursue various professional courses as per Service requirement. They will receive the "Graduation Equivalent Certificate" on retirement after completion of 15 years of service.

MR (Musicians) in Indian Navy Application Process

Candidates applying for more than one type of entry are required to submit separate applications. However, only one application form is to be filled for a particular entry. Choice of entry is to be clearly indicated on the application form. Applications are received only through Ordinary Post. Applications received through speed post/ registered post or couriers are rejected.
