Indian Army AMC (NT) Recruitment
The Indian Army recruits Army Medical Corps, which is a specialist corps in the Indian Army which provides medical services to all Army personnel. AMC (NT) means Army Medical Corps (Non-Technical) branch. AMC (NT) officers are non-medical (non-doctor) persons.
AMC commissioned officers are under two cadres, medical officers (read doctors) and NT (non technical) officers.
NT officers are AMC officers who are not doctors and are selected via SSB unlike medical officers. Thereafter they undergo training at AMC Centre and College, Lucknow after which they are posted to various service hospitals as quarter master or company commander. AMC (NT) officers are essential for running of service hospitals and are involved in all spheres like logistics, transport, discipline, training, administration etc. Except for treatment part.
They form a link between AMC and other arms and services and is often looked upon for guidance by commandants/commanding officers to deal with various issues.
Training Academy: AMC Centre & College.
Duration of Training: Three months
Likely Date of SSB: Nov / Dec
AMC (NT) Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Must be a citizen of India
Age: The age of the candidate should not be more than 42 years
Qualification: The candidates should have done Matric
Marital Status: Unmarried / Married
AMC (NT) Selection Process
There are two stages of selection for the selection of candidates:
Stage 1: SSB Interview
Stage 2: Medical Examination
(a) All applications are forwarded to Rtg. Directorate (NCC Entry) through HQ DG NCC. The NCC Units/Gp HQs will forward the applications to State Directorates who in turn will forward the same to HQ DG NCC.
(b) Thorough Screening/Short-listing of applications based on qualifications of the candidates will be carried out by the NCC Directorates & HQ DG NCC.
Note: The exact Date, time and venue for the exam/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of Indian Army.
All candidates need to carry the following original and two attested photocopies of all academic certificates with them while going for AMC (NT) SSB.
- 10th class marksheet
- Latest attested Fd Conduct sheet
- Best pair of uniform
- Eight passport size photographs
- Writing material such as A4 sheets, pencil, ball pen etc
- Health record card
- White colour shirt / T shirt, shorts, socks and PT shoes
- One lock and key
