Indian Army Recruitment Rally

Indian Army invites young, energetic and eligible aspirants to register for the Recruitment Rallies’ across India for the appointment of soldiers under various categories. To enroll in Army, candidates must have required educational qualification, possess physical fitness and other requisite traits. Applicants need to attend recruitment rally as per the schedule mentioned for different locations.

Payment and Allowances

A soldier is entitled to get basic pay approx Rs 23,000/- per month as per 7th Pay Commission and allowances as admissible along with other facilities such as free ration/ ration money, clothing, medical for self and accommodation, Railway warrant for self and dependents, Group Housing Scheme, Army Group Insurance Scheme of Rs 25,00,000/-.

The other privileges are fully paid Annual Leave up to a maximum of 60 days, Casual Leave up to a maximum of 30 days, Medical Leave as recommended by Medical authorities and Leave Encashment up to 30 days in a calendar year and maximum 300 days in service.

Pension: Service pension is admissible to an individual on completion of mandatory minimum service and subject to rank.

Indian Army Recruitment Rally Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

a. Soldier Technical: 17 years 06 months to 23 years
b. Soldier Nursing Assistant:
17 years 06 months to 23 years
c. Soldier General Duty:
17 years 06 months to 21 years
d. Soldier Clerk/ Soldier Store Keeper Technical:
17 years 06 months to 23 years
e. Soldier Tradesman:
17 years 06 months to 23 years

Note: Candidates who are below 18 years of age will have to bring their parents consent certificate.

Educational Qualifications

a. Soldier Technical: Candidates should have successfully completed their 10+2/Intermediate Examination in
Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject.
OR
10th with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate if 3 yrs Diploma in Engineering from an AICTE recognized institute.

b. Soldier Nursing Assistant: Candidates should have successfully completed their 10+2/Intermediate pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 40% marks in compulsory subjects and minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
Candidates should have successfully completed their B.Sc Degree (Botany/ Zoology/ Bio Science) and English (simple pass). Stipulation of marks laid down at 10+2 level will not be applicable for B.Sc degree. However, the candidate should have studied all the four specified subjects in Class XII also.

c. Soldier General Duty: Candidates should have successfully completed their class 10. They should have secured a minimum of 33% marks in each subject and minimum of 45% in aggregate in Class 10. In case of higher education, stipulation of aggregate percentage is waived off but minimum 33% in each subject is required.

d. Soldier Tradesman:
(i) For House Keeper, Mess Keeper & Syce, candidates should be Class 8th Pass
(ii) For Chef, Washerman, Dresser, Steward, Tailor, Artisan (Wood Work), Artisan (Metallurgy), Support Staff (ER), Artisan (Construction), candidates should be Class 10th Pass.

For all other trades, candidates should simply pass class 10/ITI qualification in respective trades. Only candidates who have undertaken class X Board Exam would be considered.

e. Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical:
(i) Candidates should have successfully completed their class XII, scoring a minimum of 50% marks in each subject and minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

(ii) Candidates should have studied English and Math/Accounts/Book Keeping in their Class XII or class X and should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in each of these subjects, whether studied in Class XII or X.

(iii) Even if a candidate is graduate or has a higher qualification, percentage of marks scored in Class XII would be applicable towards his eligibility.

Note: The candidates who have passed class 10th with GPA/ grade system will also carry their mark sheet showing marks in figure obtained from respective board. The marks sheet should be produced during the rally and is a mandatory requirement for appearing in the Common Entrance Examination (CEE).

Marital Status: Unmarried

Note:
SOS/SOEX/Son of War Widow & Battle Casualty: Candidate who are the son of serving soldier of JCO/OR or Officer/son of Ex Servicemen, relationship certificate duly signed by Chief Record Officer/Senior Record Officer of respective Record Office with date of birth, Joint Photographs of the candidate with his father will be submitted by candidate in the rally.

An affidavit duly authenticated by Notary/Class-I Magistrate will also be given by the parent of the candidate that only one brother/son will be taking bonus marks to get enrolled in the Army.

Indian Army Recruitment Rally Selection Process

The tests as mentioned below are mandatory for all: -

(i) Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

(a) 1.6 KM Run for all categories.
(aa) Group- I - Within 5 min 30 secs
(ab) Group-II - 5 min 31 secs to 5 Min 45 secs
(b) 9 Feet Ditch Jump
(c) Pull Ups - minimum six
(d) Balancing Beam

(ii) Physical Measurement Test (PMT).


(iii) Medical Examinations

The Medical Examination will be carried out on dates given by Medical Team. Candidates are required to check for date of Medical Examination at rally site.

(iv) Common Entrance Examination (CEE)

Candidates who are declared fit in the Medical Examination at rally site will appear for a Common Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted by the Army Recruitment Offices.

Note: There will be a relaxation in physical standards and bonus marks in Common Entrance Examination for
Sportsmen who have represented India at International level or State at National level or District at Sate level and even if they have not obtained 1st/2nd position, as per laid down policies on the subject. The validity period of sports certificate produced by the candidate will be two years on the date of screening.

How to Apply for Indian Army Recruitment Rally

The Indian Army Recruitment Rally Dates are published on official website joinindianarmy.nic.in and print media like Employment News etc. Eligible candidates can participate in a Recruitment Rally by visiting nearest Recruitment Office on specified dates.
Please note you need extremely good physical and mental health for the services of Indian Army for any position. Do rigorous preparation before you truly place your application for selection.

When going to take part in an Indian Army Recruitment Rally, please carry the following documents
  1. SSLC / 10th, 12th /PUC, ITI and Higher Education Certificate in original.

  2. 3 years diploma in Engg form AICTE recognized institute.

  3. Twelve copies of latest passport size colour photographs. (Polaroid camera photos and computer photos will not be accepted).

  4. Residential certificate

  5. Caste certificate (if applicable)

  6. Character certificate with office seal duly signed by the Village Sarpanch/Headmaster / Principal of a recognized School / College (where the candidate is presently studying) in Original not more than six months old.

  7. Police verification certificate not more than 3 months old.

  8. PAN Card, ADHAAR Card & saving Bank Account No of self from Nationalised Bank.

  9. NCC Candidates. NCC certificates in original in case of NCC candidates.

  10. Sol Clk/SKT only. Certificate of “BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMMER” issued by DOEACC Society if applicable.

  11. Sports certificate should be from Government Federations / SAI and should be within 2 years from the date of screening.

  12. Two Xerox copies of all above documents duly attested.

  13. All signatures in respective documents will have full name, designation of the officer signing along with date as well as the official round stamp in English/Hindi.

  14. Documents. Since Army is a national organization, all documents are required either in Hindi or English language only. The rally procedure has been automated. Hence non availability of documents listed above for recruitment will result in cancellation of candidature.
