Incentive for Meritorious Students in Class/Board/University Examinations is offered by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India for the children of employees of DoT. This scheme aims to support the study of meritorious students who are toppers in the annual examination of school/board/university.

Benefits:

For school level
Class 2nd to 4th –
1st position holder – INR 1,000
2nd position holder – INR 800

Class 6th to 10th –
1st position holder – INR 1,100
2nd position holder – INR 900

Class 11th -
1st position holder – INR 1,200
2nd position holder – INR 1,000

For board/university level (including 10 2 and University level)
1st position holder – INR 2,000
2nd position holder – INR 1,000
3rd position holder – INR 6,00

Candidates must be an Indian citizen
Candidate must be a ward of the employees of DoT
Candidate must be studying at school, college or university level
Candidate must secure highest grade in all subjects

Incentive for Meritorious Students in Class/Board/University Examinations Application Process

Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarship:

Step 1: Download the application proforma from the official website.
Step 2: Fill in the required details.
Step 3: Enclose all the requested documents.
Step 4: Send the completed application to Section Officer, Welfare/General II Section, Mezz Floor, Department of Telecommunications, Sanchar Bhawan, 20, Ashoka Road, New Delhi – 110001.

Documents required:

Duly self-attested copy of mark sheet/ report card/ certificate from the educational institute specifying the position of the student in the respective annual examination.
